Zweave and OptiTex Team to Integrate Collaborative PLM to 3D CAD Solutions for the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility.

New York, N.Y. – March 7th, 2005 - Zweave, Inc., a leading global provider of Collaborative Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM™) software and services and OptiTex, Inc., a 3D and 2D CAD software provider, today announced the selection of OptiTex’s 3D Runway and PDS products to implement an advanced anthropometric design software solution, FitCOMM™, for the United States Navy’s Clothing and Textile Research Facility. Zweave’s platform will leverage OptiTex’s tools for pattern making, grading, marker making, Made to Measure and virtual model design to enable the U.S. Navy to better address fit and sizing, product development lead times, design and manufacturing processes, supply chain collaboration and product development information management.

The solution calls for a software prototype capable of delivering functional capabilities including: sizing and fit project workspaces, design visualization, pattern development using anthropometric data, 3-D digital fit models, and sizing and fit document management.  This solution will integrate with advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software for collaboration, web based product data management (PDM), multi-organization workflow and project management.
