This document introduces the new features and improvements in OptiTex version 11.

Features
- Plugins List: Manage specific 3D dll Plugins to improve application start-up speed.
- New network protection system: We have upgraded our network plugs to Aladdin's new generation SRM. This will improve service and response time for network users.
- Select Language: New Language selection utility allows you to easily switch between languages without having to re-install language service packs.
Features
- Adobe Illustrator 2D Files: You can now import and export *.ai files, for PDS and Mark.
- StruCad 3D Model Files: You can now import and export *.spf files.
Features
- Measurement Chart: Create a Spec Chart with defined Points of Measurements. Measurement Chart is used to define on a piece or pieces all the Points of Measure (POM) that is required for the Garment Specifications.

- Measurement Charts Viewer: Measurement Charts Viewer is used with the Measurement Chart to Browse for, Open and select previously defined Measurement Charts.
- Walk Groups: Group several pieces to be walked together along segments. PDS allows the user to set several pieces together for walking. An example may be a multipiece sleeve that needs to be walked to an armhole.

- Reform Pieces to Fan Tool: Slash & Spread along a contour to create a Fan effect piece. Slash & spread a piece in multiple places along a contour thus creating a Fan effect while reshaping the piece according to a selected piece's shape.

- Add Fullness Tool: A new dialog allows you to open multiple and parallel slash lines. Open fullness either by angle, or by distance. Fullness can be added in parallel, or by a pivot point. The first click will define the point that will be 'opened'. The second click should be on the contour where the fullness should be opened, or a pivot point be created (make sure not to click the second click on the same contour line).

- Create an Arc Piece: Create an equal width piece with defined outer/inner dimensions. Use the Create An Arc Piece command to create an equal width piece with defined dimensions or with measured dimensions (Darts and Pleats can be excluded by setting Preferences). The Outer or Inner dimensions (Length Top or Length Bottom) can be defined to form a desired arc shape.

- Arch And Cut Dart Tool: Cut a dart by giving it a curved shape, while maintaining the segments length. You can also cut a dart and still keep the dart object in order to allow dart's features like: drill holes, skip dart while walking pieces, close dart, etc.

- Cut Corner Tool: Use the Cut Corner tool to remove a corner up to specified distance from the corner point.
- Seam Segment Tool: Use the Seam Segment tool to quickly apply seam values over segments (contour line between 2 grading points).

- Reference Points Tool: Add Reference Points which can be used as guidance while drafting or altering a pattern. This tool is used for adding a point which is only used as a reference. The point will not be plotted or be part of the contour.
Improvements
- Move Along Point Tool: Prolong a segment according to its angle using the Shift key. Move a point along a segment (contour and internal contour).

- Notch type: New special U form type for double notches (I-I) on a single point.
- Curved Dart Overlap: You can now set the shape of the dart's cap as curved. The curve will be shaped exactly the same as the segment near the dart.
- T Notches In Darts: Choose between I and T notch form, for darts and pleats.
- Create Parallel Tool: New ability to add multiple parallel lines using a comma to separate them in the field section.
Features
- Variation Grading: Define numerous size variations to grade your pattern in multiple dimensions.
- Variation In Grading Table: Easily switch between variations tabs in the Grading Table
- Variation Size Set: With "Sizes Set" option, you can create sizes list to be used in Marker for each Style Set
- Grade By Scale: Apply grading values by resizing the whole piece.
Improvements
- Use Visible Sizes Only: Option to export Grading to AAMA and ASTM as per current display.
- Variation Grading: Define numerous size variations to grade in multiple dimensions.
- Grade by Scale: Apply grading values by resizing the whole piece by percentage.
- Manual Grading Toolbar: New grading tools to manipulate graded points of any size.
- Create Piece For Selected Size: Select the exact variation size desired for the piece.
- Preferences: Define the default base size name and its numerical size system increment.
- Change Sizes by Ratio: Add or modify specific sizes by the ratio of the grading value.
Features
- 3D simulation has been optimized to take advantage of Intel’s new multi core platform: Using the latest Intel® Xeon® processor and fully exploiting parallelism, simulation time has been dramatically accelerated. For details, please visit Research@Intel.
- Import OBJ: Import 3D scanned models in OBJ format into OptiTex 3D.
- Import Iges: Import 3D models created in NURBS supported systems like Catia into OptiTex 3D.
- Import Settings: Basic import settings such as Scale, Merge, Rotate and Flip are now displayed at the Open dialog.
- Logo Placement: You can now place a logo in 3D over more than one piece. The logo placement will be shown both in 3D (for placement and visual adjustments) and in 2D (for print purposes).
- Stitch List: You can now select a stitch from a drop down list of stitches (Overlock, SingleNeedle etc.). Each stitch holds its own set of stitch parameters values.
- Show Current Stitch Connection Lines: A new "View and Selection" option, under General tab, allows the display of connection lines between stitched segments on the 2D working area.
- Selection Of Overlapping Stitches: Ctrl+LMB click on overlapping stitches to toggle between them.
Improvements
- Graphical user interface: New Grid type design offers easy and intuitive usage.
Features
- Extended Size system to Marker: New sizes to the model can be added in the order process. The sizes will be added according to existing sizes steps. No need to get back to PDS to create additional smaller or larger size.
- Select Sizes From sizes Set : When PDS file has more the one set of grading , new dialog box allows better control on the sizes to order. letting the user to reshape only the sizes combination that needed.
- Add Bump Line At The End Of The Marker :Access bump line menu by right clicking on bump line for adding automatically a bump line at the end of the maker. Also available hiding and deleting of a select bump line, whiteout the need to get to the bump lines dialog box.
- Draw Lines On Marker : New draft tool to draw lines along the marker. Can be used to mark areas and section on the table ,
- Split Pieces on Marker : Enable the marker maker to split a piece in two (or more) parts in order to improve the efficiency of the marker table.
- Disable Piece Gap Shortcut: Hold the Alt key when shooting a piece to disable the piece's gap
- New filling color method - By Style name: New way for distinction between styles, when more then on style is ordered. New Style color tab in "Colors" dialog box.
- new options in "Stripe definitions" dialog : Add "Store as defaults" and "Load defaults" buttons.
- Shared Cut Line For Selected Pieces : Better user control on pieces to share common cut line. Apply the "shared cut line" command on a selected group.
- Cost Calculation report to be more compatible with ERP Systems- Material column was added and also an option to remove the headers.
- Mufti Line description for piece : New option was added to Piece Info dialog box. Now long description text can fit into small pieces more easily
- Scale/Shrink by absolute or difference value - Advanced options to scale a pieces on marker.
- Hotkey to unfold folded piece: Folded Pieces do not need to be removed from the marker in order to re-placed them in full.
- 0,0 as default values in Relate piece to stripe : The default change from the actual piece location to 0,0 based on many users request
- New Yield calculation : A Yield value was added to the status bar and as column to a custom Excel report
- New Automatic Style Options:Better control on the the displays style or model name. Name the style as the file name or in a unique name
Features
- Display Selected Dimension: The new display option enables the view of one dimension at a time, making it easier to understand the expression.
