Insert the CD in your computer and wait for the main menu to pop up.

[edit] Demo or Full Installation

  • Select Full Installation or Demo Installation (Demo will run without a license and restricted abilities)

  • Click next on the Welcome Screen

  • Select I accept the license agreement and Next

  • Type in your information and select the configuration type :
    • Public - If a single user is working on this computer
    • Private - If multiple user login to this computer and want to have separate settings
  • Click Next
  • Select the language, then next
  • Select Full then Next
  • Uncheck Configure SDM Connection , unless you are using Modulate made to measure software, in this case see SDM Installation
  • Installation is Done, use the Desktop icons or the Start menu to access the different applications.
  • To Activate you license see, Software Activation Procedure

[edit] Sample Pack

  • Select Sample Pack on the Intro Screeen

  • Go through the series of screen, and stop and the Components.
  • Select the components you wish to install.
  • The Samples will be install in the installation folder typically c:\program files\optitex10\samples\

[edit] SDM Installation

  • If you have purchased Modulate (made to measure application), The SDM (Smart Data Manager) database can be installed to record your customer measurements.
  • During the installation the SDM menu will display 3 different options to install the DB:
    • Use SQL Server database with specified connection information - This option can be use if you have installed a MS SQL server prior to optitex installation and wish to use this DB to store the SDM data.
    • Use new MSAccess database - This Option should be chosen if you don't have an MS SQL server. MS Access DB don't require any previous installation.
    • Use a copy of the existing OptiTex9 MSAccess database - Use this option if you have a version 9 database installed on the same computer and you wish to import the data into you Version 10 SDM database (MSAccess).
