Use Converter 4 Program to convert native Micro Files into OptiTex file format. The Micro Converter, Converter 4, can convert Styles, and Grading, and Micro Markers plot files can be imported.
[edit] Micro File Types
Micro Input Files: types are Styles with .d extension. Some file names will have the 9th character after the .d extension. These will still convert. Grading files have ‘’’.g’’’ extension. Markers have a ‘’’.m’’’ extension.
[edit] To Convert Micro Data
- To convert Style, click on the Designs Tab, Select
at the end of the “Micro D Files:” Field in Converter 4 and select the folder that contains the .d files.
- To convert Grading Rule Table, click on the Micro Rules Tab, Select
at the end of the “Micro G Files:” Field in Converter 4 and select the folder that contains the .g files.
- To convert a Marker, click on the Marker Tab, Select
at the end of the “Micro M Files:” Field in Converter 4 and select the folder that contains the .m files.
- For each tab, Designs, Markers, and Micro Rules; Select
at the end of the “OptiTex Output:” Field and choose a folder to store the converted Micro Files.
- There are options to set to keep files the same as on Micro. Special Notch Setting Mirrored Pieces, and Pre-Rotation
- Special Notch Setting, will use predefined notches from the Micro system.
- Set Half attribute to Mirrored Pieces, will make Micro Mirrored pieces become OptiTex Mirrored Pieces.
- Pre Rotation will pre rotate pieces by 90, 180. This is used for importing Markers and Styles.
- Select The Designs Tab to convert a Style; Click on the Style (use SHIFT to select more than 1 style) select
to convert the Style (s). Grading will be converted as well.
- Select the Micro Rules Tab to convert Grade rules table (not required to convert the grading); Click on the Grade Rule and select
. (Styles will convert with grading, converting the Grade Rule is optional).
- Select The Markers Tab to convert Markers; Click on the Marker and select
.
