Tutorials:Nesting Pieces On Leather

Styles can be nested manually or automatically (using Nest++2) inside leather sheets.

Operation

  1. In PDS Digitize the leather sheet's contour and Save the file.
  2. In Marker start a new file and Open Design File, the Marker definition's dimensions are currently not important
  3. Select the piece and Piece To Hole
  4. Delete the original piece.
  5. Get the length and width (Block Size) through the Piece properties.
  6. Set the Marker Definition's Dimensions according to the block size.
  7. If needed add Flaws inside the piece.
  8. Load the style which needs to be nested inside the leather.
  9. Nest pieces manually or automatically (Nest++2 support nesting inside holes). Note that if using Nest++2, remember to disable the Unlimited Marker Length option.

2. Open Design file in Marker

3. Select piece...
4. ...and Piece To Hole
5. Delete the original piece
6. Block size values…
7. ...inserted into the Marker Definitions

8. Piece occupies the whole Marker
9. Add Flaw as required
10. Place pieces
