Reset Timer Application User Guide

This page is intended for customers with old timer keys that are upgrading to version 10.2 (or newer) from older versions (8, 9, 10.0, 10.1). If you just received a new timer key from OptiTex you do not need to go through this process and can proceed to Activate your Software page.

Reset Timer Application must Run from a computer with an Internet connection .

For any problem during the process, please contact your distributor or local office.

  1. Download the application from here
  2. Plug your Timer Key into an available USB Port on your Computer
  3. Unzip and Launch the Reset Timer Application
  4. Use your mouse Left Button to click on the "Reset" Button
  5. You will get a Warning message: "Reseting the Plug will disable it from working with versions 10.1 and earlier. Reseting will enable to work with version 10.2 and later, but a license will be required too. Continue?" (See picture 2)
  6. If you accept this warning, click on "Yes" and close the application clicking on "Exit"
  7. Proceed to Activate your Software
Note: The date and time in the window may show as the incorrect date when opened. 
This is normal, and will correct once you follow the above instructions.

[edit] Notes

  • The Reset Timer Procedure can be done by an OptiTex Representative prior to installing OptiTex Suite at the Customer PC
  • If the Reset Procedure has been done on the Customer PC Do not leave the Reset Timer Application on your customer PC
