PDS:Text Direction Tool

Use this tool to rotate a text to be parallel or perpendicular to a selected segment. The text can be also repositioned to be above or below the selected segment. Even if the selected segment is not a straight line, wherever it was clicked – the text will be rotated to it.

Operation

  • Select the 'Text Rotation Tool'.
  • Select a segment (contour or internal contour).
  • Select a text. The text is re-positioned and rotated according to the selected segment.

6. 'Rotation Text Tool' – select a section from the princess line
7. Click on the text
8. The text was rotated and repositioned parallel to the selected segment

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Alt - Rotate the text perpendicular to the segment.
  • Ctrl – Rotate the text to be parallel to the segment (rotation is done according to the top left point), but without repositioning it.
  • Ctrl+ Shift – Same as control, only the rotation is done according to the top right point.
  • Shift – Rotate and reposition below the selected segment.
