Use this command to swap an Internal Contour segment with a Contour segment.

Operation

  1. Click on the first point of the contour segment.
  2. Click on the last point of the contour segment.
  3. Click on the first point of the internal contour.
  4. Click on the last point of the internal contour.
  5. The Swap Segments of Contours dialog box is displayed. Select the desired parameters and click OK.

Note: If the internal contour is made up of several internal contours, make sure they are all joined together.

Substitute

1. The internal contour is marked in red
2. Click on the first point of the contour
3. ...and on the last point of the contour (clock-wise)
4. Click on the first point of the internal contour
5. ...and on the last point of the internal contour
6. Both contours are substituted

Extrapolation

Extends the internal contour segment and the contour segment by their tangents, up to the intersection point.

Choose Swap Segments

Allows you to change the start and end point of the contour and internal contour.

Point

Determines which point will change when using the shift point buttons.

Shift Point

Shifts the selected point in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction.

18. After shifting the last internal contour point, part of the internal contour was swapped for the contour, and part remained as the internal contour

Show Method

Sets the method by which the swapped segment is shown. 'Result' is the default and it is usually the more convenient.
