PDS:Set Basic Seam

Use the Set Basic Seam command to add a simple seam on all the selected pieces. First, a Basic seam is added to all the pieces. Next, if required, each piece is given the correct seam allowance and seam type on special corners.
Note that you can enter a negative value. This is usually used when a style was digitized on the Cut line.

Location
- Menu: Tools> Seam> Set Basic Seam
Operation
- Select a piece or multiple pieces.
- Invoke the Set Basic Seam command. A dialog box is displayed.
- Set the seam's width in the Set Basic Seam Line dialog box.
- Click OK
1. Original pieces
2. A -1 cm seam allowance was added to all the pieces on the Working Area
3. The seam appears inside the piece. Invoke the Switch Pieces To Sew
4. The seam appears properly
Dialog Explanation
Seam Width
Sets the width of the seam. Negative values are permitted.
Keep Grading
When checked, the grading on the Seam allowance is not changed according to the grading on the contour.
