PDS:Set Baseline Direction Tool

• Use this tool to change the direction of the baseline.
• This command places the new baseline inside the piece and close to the center.
• It is useful if the baseline was not digitized, or if two pieces were joined in a way that results in an oddly shaped piece.

Operation

Single piece

1. Invoke the Baseline Direction tool.
2. Select two points on the piece or anywhere on the working area.
3. The new baseline direction is guided parallel to these two points.

Multiple pieces

New feature available in Version 11

1. Select mulitple pieces at one time.
2. Invoke the Baseline Direction tool.
3. Select two points of any piece or anywhere on the working area.
4. The new baseline direction will affect all selected pieces as per these two points.
