PDS:Rotate To Vertical Tool

Use the Rotate To Vertical tool to rotate a piece by a selected segment (without changing its baseline position), so that the piece's selected segment is parallel to the Y axis.

Operation

1. Invoke the Rotate To Vertical tool.
2. Select the first and last points of the segment.
3. The piece is rotated according to the selected segment.

1. The sleeve hem is at an angle to the Y axis

2. Select the sleeve hem

3. The piece is rotated, so that the hem is parallel to the Y axis

Keyboard Shortcuts

• Ctrl – Disregards the Snap definition.
• Shift (2nd click) – has the same effect as applying the Rotate To Horizontal Tool.
• . (Period) – Restricts the cursor movement to the X axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
• .(Period) + Shift - Restricts the cursor movement to the Y axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
