PDS:Rotate To Horizontal Tool

Use the Rotate To Horizontal tool to rotate a piece by a selected segment (without changing its baseline position), so that the piece's selected segment is parallel to the X axis.

Operation

1. Invoke the Rotate To Horizontal tool.
2. Select the first and last points - the piece is rotated so that the selected segment is parallel to the X axis.

1. The hem is at an angle to the X axis

2. Select the sleeve hem

3. The piece is rotated so that the hem is parallel to the X axis

Keyboard Shortcuts

• Ctrl – disregards the Snap definition.
• Shift (2nd click) – has the same effect as applying the Rotate To Vertical Tool
• . (Period) – Restricts the cursor movement to the X axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
• .(Period) + Shift - Restricts the cursor movement to the Y axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
