PDS:Rotate Piece Tool

Use the Rotate Piece command to rotate the entire piece around a pivot point.

[edit] Operation

  1. Invoke the 'Rotate Piece Tool', and click on a point or anywhere over the piece or Right double click over a piece or point.
  2. The piece is now controlled by the cursor. Move the cursor to the location where the piece is rotated as desired.
  3. Click the mouse button.
  4. When the 'Angle of Rotation' dialog box displays, click OK to accept the rotation angle, or enter specific angle values for the rotation.

[edit] Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Shift – Click on a point while holding the shift. This will allow you to select the handle point, by which the rotation angle will be calculated. It also makes snapping of one piece to another easier.
