PDS:Rotate Contour Or Text Tool

  • This tool will rotate the selected contour , for example the external contour – without rotating all the internal objects inside of it; or an internal contour
  • Rotate a selected text (by pressing on the ALT key) created with the Text Tool on its center point.

Operation

  1. Invoke the Rotate Contour Or Text tool.
  2. Left Click on a contour or text.
  3. Rotate the contour and left click – The rotation dialog pops up.
  4. Edit the rotation angle, and press Ok.

Note: If an internal contour overlaps a contour point, make sure to select the internal contour first using the Select Tool in order to rotate it.

Internal Contour Rotation

1. The original piece with a princes cut
2. Select the internal contour with the Select Tool
3. Select the 'Rotate Contour Or Text Tool' and click on the internal contour point
4. Rotate the internal contour
6. The internal contour was rotated

7. The extension of internal contour was trimmed using the Trim Tool

Text Rotation

Unlike rotating an internal contour, there is no need to select the Text with the Select Tool, before doing this action.

8. The original piece with a text created with the Text Tool
9. Select the 'Rotate Contour Or Text Tool' and click on the text with the ALT key pressed
10. The text's bounding box appears, and the center is rotation is in the middle of this box
11. Rotate the text

13. The text was rotated
