PDS:Rotate

Use the Rotate command to control the rotation of a piece, internal object or base line. The advantage of using this command rather than the Rotate Piece Tool or the Rotate Contour Or Text Tool, is that you can rotate several pieces at once.

Operation

  1. Select a piece/ several pieces/ base line/ internal object.
  2. Invoke the Rotate command.
  3. Enter the rotation degree.
  4. Select the rotation direction (Left = clockwise; right= counter clockwise).

Dialog Explanation

Note that the pieces and Objects can be selected even when the dialog is open.

1. The Rotate dialog

2. The entire piece is rotated (baseline and internal objects included)

Selected Internals

3. Only the selected internal object is rotated

Rotate Only The Base Line

4. Select the base line
5. Only the base line is rotated

Piece Over Base Line

6. Rotates the piece and the internal objects, but not the base line
