Preferences - Confirmation and Warning

Use the Confirmation and Warning Dialogs sub-menu to customize the various dialog boxes that pop up while you work. Advanced users can disable most warning and confirmations dialog boxes.

Dialog Explanation

Add And Move

When the following settings are disabled, you can press the Alt key while using any move/add tool (e.g. Move Point Tool in order to open the Move dialog box.

Open The Create Dialog/ Properties Window

Opens the object's Properties pane or the Create dialog box when adding an object.

Open The Create Arc/ Wave Dialog

Opens the Create Arc dialog box when adding an arc/ wave.

Open The Move Point Dialog

Opens the Move Point Dialog after moving or adding a point .

Open The 'Move piece' or 'Move internal' dialog

Opens the Move Piece dialog or the Move Internal dialog after moving a piece or an internal.

Open The Move Piece On Piece Dialog

When using the Move Piece On Piece or Match Seam tools, this displays the dialog that allows you to place pieces on top of one another without having to use the ALT key.

Open 'Seam Width' dialog

Half Symmetry

Set The First And Last Point As Grade Points

If the first or last point of the line of symmetry is not a grade point, this sets it to a grade point.

1. Original piece with non-grading points
2. Non-grading points converted to grading points

Set The First And Last Point To Non-Curve, And Add Support Points

If the first or last point of the line of symmetry is a curve point, this sets it to a non-curve point. Non-grading points are added on the segment for support.

3. Original piece with curved points
4. Points converted to non-curve, and support points added.

Disregard The Seam From The Symmetry Line

Deletes the seam on the line of symmetry.

Correct The Grading According To The Symmetry Line

If there is a grading on the first or last point of the line of symmetry, it will be corrected. Check ‘By Piece’ to zero the grading value and shift it to the other points. Check ‘By Line’ to zero the grading value without shifting it to the other points.

Open The Create A Rectangular Piece Dialog When Starting A New File

Opens the Create A Rectangular Piece dialog when starting a new file.

Check For Empty Names Or Duplicate Names When Creating A New Piece

Opens a warning dialog if a piece has no name or the same name as another piece.

Warning When Removing A Changed Piece

Opens the Apply Changes dialog when a piece is removed from the working area.

Check For A Closed Pleat

Displays a warning message when you try to Save, Plot or Print if there is a closed pleat in the style.

Check Outside Notch Direction On Cut Contours

Displays a warning message when you try to Save, Plot or Print if there is an I or T notch directed to the outside of the Cut contour.

Warning Before Plotting Unsaved File

Displays a warning message telling you to save the file when you attempt to plot an unsaved file.

General

Ask For Confirmation Before Deleting Objects

Opens the Confirm Delete dialog box when deleting any object.

14. Enabled

Duplicate Size Name

Automatically changes the name of a new size if this name belongs to an existing size, in order to prevent duplication. The new size is changed to @+<<sizename>> (e.g. XL to @XL)

Warning If Limited Auto Reseam

Displays a warning message when you attempt to Save, Plot or Print if you are working with the Auto Reseam option off, or when the piece's Auto Reseam is off.
