Dialog Explanation

1.

Driver Format

This option displays the Language the plotter is using. Consult your plotter/cutter manual for language information.

Plotter Page Size

This is field indicates the size of plotting/cutting page.

  • Y - indicate the page width.
  • X - indicate the page length.

General

Y-Offset

This command is used to shift the bottom of marker up during plotting. This option can also be used for shifting the paper right margin in case the print/ plot start point is on the right "too much" and a margin is needed.

2. Green area represents the 'Y Offset'

Gap After Plotting

This is the space the plotter puts at the end of the plot job. The default is 0.

Minimal Plot/Cut

This option is only used for some Gerber plotters. It specifies the minimum distance at which a line is still be cut. It saves plotting/cutting time to not cut two points that are too close to one another.

Bulge( Chord Error)

The Bulge Corde Error setting is the smallest size at which an arc can appear and still be plotted as an arc. When plotting arcs with very small bulge chords (practically straight lines) it is faster to plot them as straight lines and not arcs. This saves plotting time considerably. If the Bulge Corde Error is set to 0, the curve is plotted, no matter how slight.

=Min. Plot Spline Segment

Minimum Plot Spline Segment is similar to the Bulge Corde Error. It converts any arc segment under a certain size to a simple straight line in order to save time.

Overcut Length

Used only for folded pieces. In case of folded pieces on tubular fabric spreading, defining "Overcut" for the folded pieces will insure uncut layers on the lower layers.

3. When tubular fabric layers are not aligned then, "Overcut" is needed to avoid uncut layers

One Frame Only

Used when generating plotting with unlimited paper length. This should not be used on a multi frames machines (pen plotters) or if clipping is needed (marker width is wider the paper width).

Frame Advance After the last

The Frame size refers to the Page Advance command that most X Y plotters are using. The advance command refers to the X value, which expresses the length value. Most plotters and cutters are active within a defined area and only after they have accomplished all activities in that area the machine advances the paper or fabric. This advance command is called Page Advance or Frame Advance. The software organizes the plot in such a manner that everything in the Frame area is plotted or cut. Then the plotter/cutter feeds more roll paper or it gives the option to insert a new page of paper to continue. Each X Y machine has its own limitations. It is up to the user to know these limitations and to complete the Setup accordingly. Assume there is a line which is two meters long, and the maximum plot length ability of the plotter is only 110 cm. You must define the 110 cm length as the Frame Size. Since cutters cut the complete perimeter of a piece, the frame size is different with each cut. The frame size is entered in the X value of the Plotter Page Size (in the Plotter Setting dialog box, found under Plot in the File menu). The Y value is the paper width. Set the X value smaller than the actual maximum value allowed, but never larger. Some plotters have a Fix Page Advance value (Gerber Accumark 300 has a Frame of 41.275 cm).

Device

4. Device Setup

M19 for Slit Notches

M -19 is "ignore over" cut command in Gerber cutter syntax that use on slit notches. In other word, sometime want that' the cutter will cut your marker slit notch without over cut.

M19 for Non- Slit Notches

Use Inch Units

After selecting this working unit is changes in Inch.

Cut Darts

This command is using to for cutting Darts. Combined with Plot Pleats in notch form Only attribute, only the notches of both pleats and darts will be cut.

No Draw

Manual Frame Advance

Use Initialization in file header

Use Bite Offset

Use Built in Fonts

Tool Setup

5. Tool Setup

This setup is used only for cutter plotters.

Cut External

Using this command for cutting the contour.

Cut Internal

This command is using for cutting the internal contour.
