PDS:Piece Update

These commands define how the edited pieces on the Working Area will be removed to the Piece Window.
Note that when saving the file, it automatically updates ('Refresh Old') all the pieces in the piece window.

Operation

  1. Select a piece(s)
  2. Invoke any of the Piece Update commands.
1. Original pieces
2. Original pieces in the Piece Window
3. Back piece is edited using the Multi Move Tool
4. Back piece was changed. All the following refers to these actions

Replace Old

Replace the piece(s) in the piece window with the current pieces on the working area. This command is used to clear the working area while updating the original pieces with the newly edited pieces.

5. Piece removed from the Working area
6. Piece was updated

Remove Active

Remove the selected piece(s) from the working area without updating the original piece. This command is used to clear the working area of piece without keeping any edits.

7. Piece was not updated

Save Active As New

Removes the selected piece(s) from the working area and simultaneously creates duplicates of pieces that were previously in the working area.

8. Edited piece was saved as a new piece

Refresh Old

Refresh the piece(s) in the piece window with the selected piece(s) in the working area, after they were changed. This command is used to update the view of the original pieces on the piece window with the view of the newly edited piece(s) on the working area.
Note that this option is automatically invoked on save.

9. Piece is not removed from the working area
10. Piece updated in the Piece window

Swap Pieces

Exchange piece(s) on the working area with the original piece(s) in the piece window, so the new edited piece will be in the piece window, and the original pieces will be placed on the working area.

11. Piece was replaced by the original piece (the one in the piece window)
12. The piece in the Piece Window is updated according to the changes that were done on the working area

Separate Piece

Remove all un-selected pieces from the working area, and Fit the piece on the working area.

13. Piece fits the working area, allowing easier editing on this single piece
