Grading

Size

  • Select the size of the piece for the notch modifications. Every size can have a different notch property.
24. The notches of every size have a a different angle

Relationship

Set the distance type with which a notch relates to its point. The notch's position can be represented by three different types of relationship.

25. Proportional
26. From previous point
27. From next point

Ratio

A proportional Ratio is a number between 0 and 1. A ratio of 0.5 means a 50% distance between the points.

Distance from previous point

  • Displays the notch's distance from the previous point.
  • You can edit the notch's distance from the previous point.

Distance from next point

  • Displays the notch's distance from the next point.
  • You can edit the notch's distance from the next point.

Reset distance

Reset the notch's distance of the selected size according to the base size.

28. Proportional values:* Size 1= 0.4
* Size 2 (base size)= 0.5
* Size 3 = 0.6
29. size 1 after 'Reset grading' according to size 2 – the base size:
* Size 1 = 0.5
* Size 2 (base size)= 0.5
* Size 3, proportional = 0.6
The notch of size 1 was changed

Reset all distances

Reset the notch's distance of all the sizes according to the base size.

30. Proportional values:
* Size 1= 0.4
* Size 2 (base size)= 0.5
* Size 3 = 0.6
31. size 1 after 'Reset grading' according to size 2 – the base size:
* Size 1 = 0.5
* Size 2 (base size)= 0.5
* Size 3, proportional = 0.5
The notch of size 1 and 3 were changed

Automatically set distances

Automatically set the notch's distance in all sizes according to the base size.

Show distance from grading points

Show the distance of the notch from non-grading points. If the notch is connected to the 'previous point' then in the 'From next point' field the distance will appear from the non-grading point (even a negative value), and vice versa.

32. Disabled
* From previous point=15cm
* From next point=15cm
33. Enabled
* From previous point=15cm
* From next point=5cm
34. Enabled - with a negative value
* From previous point=15cm
* From next point=-5cm

Angle

Angle

Set the angle of the notch.

Reset angle

Resets the angle of a notch according to the base size.

35. Proportional values:
* Size 1= 45 degrees
* Size 2 (base size)= 90 degrees
* Size 3 = 120 degrees
36. size 1 after 'Reset angle' according to size 2 – the base size:
* Size 1 = 90 degrees
* Size 2 (base size)= 90 degrees
* Size 3, proportional = 120 degrees
The notch of size 1 was changed

Reset all angles

Resets the angles of a notch according to the base size.

37. Proportional values:
* Size 1= 45 degrees
* Size 2 (base size)= 90 degrees
* Size 3 = 120 degrees
38. size 1 after 'Reset angle' according to size 2 – the base size:
* Size 1 = 90 degrees
* Size 2 (base size)= 90 degrees
* Size 3, proportional = 90 degrees
The notch of size 1 and 3 were changed

Automatically set angle

Automatically set the notch's angle in all sizes, according to the base size.

Direction

Set the direction of the notch on a corner point.

39. Corner
40. Previous segment
41. Next segment

Angle By Mouse Selection

Set the angle of the notch by a click of the mouse.

44. Click with the mouse on the desired point
45. The notch's angle is changed

Turn

Toggle the notch direction from 'Previous segment' to 'Next segment', when the notch is on a corner point.

46. Original - the notch angle is to 'next segment'
47. After 'Turn' the notch angle is changed and heads 'previous segment'

Seam

Keep seam's notch on grading point

Determine to keep a notch on the seam connected to its point, regardless of the notch's angle. Set a default value in Preferences.

Symmetry (New! V11)

Reflection

Determine if a notch will be reflected when the piece is set to half.

Disabled
Enabled

Orientation

Determine if the notch will be plot\ cut in all instances of the piece (Regular), on the left (Left only), or on the right (Right only). Make sure the piece is defined with an even quantity and that the piece's orientation is set to left\ right.
