PDS:Guideline Through

Use this command to add a guideline parallel to a selected segment. The same operation can be performed by dragging a guideline from the Ruler and using the Guideline Properties.

- Menu:Piece> Guideline Through
Operation
- Select a segment.
- Select the Guideline Through command.
- A guideline is added, which crosses the first and last selected points.
1. A piece in the working area, with the Ruler visible
2. Select a segment of the contour
3. Select the Guideline Through command
4. The guideline always remains visible, even when Zooming Out
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Shift – Creates the guideline perpendicular to the selected segment. The guideline passes through the first selected point.
5. Selected segment
6. 'Regular' guideline
7. Pressing Shift – the guideline is perpendicular, and passes through the first selected point
