PDS:Fabric Pattern

Fabric Pattern command allow us to view a bitmap image of the actual fabric displayed in the pattern.

Dialog Explanation
Material
- To define material name like self, lining, fusing etc, This will define to which piece the fabric image is applied.
- The first material in this list is the default material and is not assigned to a specific name, this will be the material assigned when no material name has been assigned to pieces or marker.
Bitmap File
In order to set a bitmap to this material, click on the right side of the ‘Bitmap file’ cell and you’ll get an ‘Open File’ dialog. Choose the right bitmap/JPG/Tiff file and click ‘Open’.
Step X/ Step Y
To change the repeat size of the image file (the actual size).
Offset
Define vertical and Horizontal distance to start the repeat, the distance is measure from the bottom right corner of the image.
Set Profile
- The profile file saves all the information entered in the dialog into a .FDF file, this file is used to coordinate settings between PDS and Marker, and to have multiple .FDF files for different fabric definition. When using this dialog the first time you must define a default profile file, you will be prompt when closing the dialog.
- To define group of different type of material. For example, define two different materials, select set profile and save as group 1 Then define two more materials in the same file and save as group 2. Now if you will select group 1 you will get two material and if you will select group 2 you will get four material in the marker.
Add
If you want to add a new material, click on ‘Add’ and fill in the name of the material to add.
Delete
To delete the selected material type.
Set Step By Bitmap Sizes
This feature will reset the step X and Step Y if you have changed the repeat size manually.
