Use the draft tool to draw lines inside a piece.

Icon & Location

Operation

  • Select the Draft Tool.
  • Click (left click) inside or outside a piece.
  • Keep clicking in order to get more points.
  • In order to finish the draft do one of the following:
    • Double right click
    • Single right click, and choose from the context menu Finish Drafting.
    • Click on the Z keyboard, to switch to the Select Tool.

Drafting An Internal Contour

1. Start drafting inside a piece
2. Click while holding the shift button will create a curved point
3. Double right click in order to finish the drafting

4. The internal contour is created
5. A new piece was creating using the Build Piece Tool, and moved aside

Drafting A New Piece

6. Click somewhere on the working area (outside a piece)
7. Create the new piece
8. Clicking on the first point created, will pop up a dialog

9. Click yes. A new piece was created

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Alt: open Move Point Dialog (In case it is disabled in the preferences).
  • Ctrl: Disregard the snap definition.
  • Shift: Create a curved point.
  • F2: Open the line direction dialog (during an internal line drafting).
  • .(Period) : Constrain the cursor movement to the X axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
  • .(Period) + Shift: Constrain the cursor movement to the Y axis (press ESC to exit this mode).
  • Delete: Undo previous draft point (during the operation).
