PDS:Create Multi Pleats

Use the Create Multi Pleats command to create multiple pleats along a selected contour. The pleats are either divided equally along the segment or are created in parallel. This tool is usually used in order to add pin tucks on piece(s).

  • Menu Tools> Pleats> Create Multi Pleats

Operation

  1. Select a segment on the contour.
  2. Invoke the Create Multi Pleat command.
  3. Set the required pleats.

Dialog Explanation

Number Of Pleats

Sets the number of pleats. The equal distance between the pleats is calculated automatically.

Set On First/ Last Point

Adds a pleat on the First/ Last point of the selection. Note that even if this option is enabled a Pleat can not be created on the contour line.

First Pleat Angle

The angle is calculated from the segment. The arrow in the preview marks the Zero angle.

Last Pleat Angle

Sets the angle of the last pleat. All angles between the first pleat angle and this angle are automatically calculated. You can use this button in different ways to change the way the pleats are distributed:

  1. No click on the Last Pleat Angle button - the pleats are divided along the contour.
  2. Click the button - the pleats are divided along the straight line from the first to the last point.
  3. Shift + Button click - the pleats are divided along the X Axis.
  4. Ctrl + Button click - the pleats are divided along the Y axis.

Box/ Knife Pleat

Sets the style of the pleat.

CCW Folded

If the Knife pleat was selected, sets its direction.

Variable Pleat

Determines if the pleat is a variable pleat.

Depth

Sets the pleat depth.
