PDS:Create A Rectangular Piece

Use the Create A Rectangular Piece command to create a rectangular piece with defined dimensions or with measured dimensions. You can set this dialog through the Preferences to pop-up automatically when a new file is started. Note that the Darts and Pleats can be disregarded.

Operation

  1. Invoke the Create A Rectangular Piece dialog.
  2. Enter the appropriate values as described below.
  3. Click OK to create the rectangular piece.
1. Click the Measure button - the back piece is measured (and the dart cap is ignored)
2. Click the Add button and measure the front piece
3. Change the width manually
4. The belt is created

Dialog Explanation

5. If there are no other pieces in the file the Additional Buttons will not appear

Piece Name

Sets the Piece's Name.

6. View the name through the View & Selection

Length\Width

Sets the rectangle's length (X axis) and width (Y axis).

Additional Buttons

Use the additional buttons for measuring, adding and subtracting distances. This can be used for creating belts, for example.
Note the Field Bounding sign, which indicates which field will change when you use the Measure button.
