PDS:Create A Polygonal Piece

Use this command to create a polygonal piece with defined dimensions. The points of the polygonal piece are set to be Non-curve.

Location

• PDS:Menu: Piece> New piece> Create a polygonal piece

Operation

1. Invoke the Create A Polygonal Piece dialog.
2. Enter the appropriate values as described below.
3. Click OK to create the polygonal piece.

Dialog Explanation

Piece Name

Sets the piece's name.

Piece name=Test

Points

Sets the number of points (3 is the minimum – it will create a triangle).

3 points create a triangle

Radius

Sets the radius of the circle constraining the piece. This field is automatically updated when changing the Perimeter field.

Radius=10cm

Perimeter

Sets the perimeter of the piece. This field is automatically updated when changing the Radius field.

1+1+1=3cm

Angle

Sets the angle relative to the Y axis.

Angle = 0 degrees

Angle = 45 degrees
