- Select first pivot point along contour (Press Alt key for point attributes). Notice that the selection of the pivot points is in clockwise manner.
- Select second pivot point along contour (Press Alt key for point attributes).
- Note - You may also close a dart by pivoting only one side. This will lead to a broken line which you could then fix either by selecting the Fix Dart option on Dart Properties or by simply deleting the dart and altering the contour.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Alt – open the Point attribute dialog (In case it is disabled in the preferences).
Troubleshooting
When using the Close Dart By Pivot Points tool, you might sometimes encounter situations where it seems like you cannot select certain pivot points. Points or locations for pivot points which cannot be selected indicate that geometrically it is not possible to close the dart between those points. In such cases you should look for a different pivot point's location.
