PDS:Change Multiple Notch Gradings

Use the Change Multiple Notch Gradings command to change the notches' direction and the relationship between them on a piece or several pieces. To change the notch itself, use the Change Multiple Internal Attributes command.

Location

• Menu: Piece> General> Change Multiple Notch Gradings

Operation

1. Invoke the Change Multiple Notch Gradings command. The Global Notch Grading dialog box is displayed.
2. Select the notches to be changed.
3. Make the necessary changes in the dialog box.
4. Click Set to apply the changes.

Dialog Explanation

1. The Global Notch Grading dialog box

Pieces

Indicates which pieces should be affected by this command.

Contours For Notches

Indicates which notches will be changed according to their location – on the contour or on an internal segment. The seam's notch can also be updated.

Auto Update On Seam Contour

This option is enabled only when Automatically Update The Notches or Automatic Reseam are disabled. When enabled, the notch of the seam is also updated. This is equivalent to the Reseam command.

Notch Type To Be Set

Indicates which notch should be changed, according to three categories:

• Command
• Type
• Notch Time

Tool/ Layer

Sets the Tool/ Layer.

Selected Notches Only

Only those notches selected before invoking this dialog will be changed.

Relationship

Sets the Relationship of the notches positioned along the segment.

On Point Direction

Sets the Direction of the notches.

Notches To Grade Points

Calculates the distance between the notches and the Grading points. The result is shown in the Notch Properties dialog only if the Show distance from grading points points option is unchecked.

5. The notch is connected to the previous Grading Point

6. The Grading Point was redefined as non-grading but the distances were not changed

7. After setting the Notches To Grade Points, the distances were recalculated according to the previous Grading Point

Reset Distance

Resets the distance of the notches.

Seamed Notches

Keeps Seam's Notch On Grading Point.
