PDS:Align Horizontal Tool

Align horizontally objects according to a selected point (contour or internal), button, circle, dart tip or notch.

Operation

  1. Select the Align Horizontal Tool.
  2. Click on the point to be aligned by.
  3. Click on the point to be aligned, or mark several objects by dragging a Selection Rectangle.
  4. In order to select objects from other pieces – right click over that piece, and then select the objects.

3. Objects (internal points and button) were aligned.
Click on the Dart Tip
4. Dart tip was aligned

Align A Complete Internal Contour

5. Select the point to be aligned by
6. Click on a single point on the internal contour
7. The internal contour was moved as whole

Align A Different Piece

8. Select the point to be aligned by
9. Right click on the other piece in order to select it
10. Drag a selection rectangle over the objects that need to be aligned
11. The contour points of the other piece were aligned

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl (When clicking on an internal contour) – Extends only the point clicked, and doesn't move the whole internal
12. Select the point to be aligned by

14. Click on the point without CTRL – whole piece is moved
15. Click on the point with CTRL – Only the selected point is aligned

  • Shift (While clicking on a contour point of another piece) – Align the piece, without changing its contour.

18. Click on the point without Shift – Only the selected point is aligned
19. Click on the point with Shift– whole piece is moved
