PDS:Align By Line Tool

Align objects on selected line according to a selected point. Objects to move are contour points or internal points, buttons, circles, dart tips or notches.

Workflow:

  1. Select tool
  2. Select two points to align by
  3. Select objects to align
    1. Select contour points/ internal points to align points.
    2. Select internal points using ctrl key to prolong internal contour to alignment value.
    3. Select contour points using shift key to align entire piece.
    4. Select internals using Shift key to align piece by internal points
The shoulder line should be at the same angle for both pieces

[edit] Internal object

  • Clicking on an internal point – the whole internal will move.

[edit] Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl – Extend the point up to the aligned line.

  • Shift (While clicking on a contour point of another piece) – Align the piece.
