OptiTex Web Services Submit Task

OptiTex web services website can be found at http://ws.optitex.com

The Web Services site currently offers

• Marker Nesting
• Data Conversion, Importing and Exporting files.

How to Submit a Nesting Task

After logging in, you will be redirected to the 'Launch Task' page, where you can choose which task you would like to perform. For a nesting task, choose "Nesting" at the drop-down list.


In the fields below you will need to:

Fill in

a description for your task,

Select 

an input file to upload

Enter 

the nesting duration (in minutes)

Click

on "Start Nesting" button.

You will then be redirected to the "Inbox" page where you can see the status of the tasks you have already submitted. (e.g. Pending, Finished, Successful or not, etc.)

Once your Nesting is done, the Status of the task will change to "Finished". Click on its number to view the result at the bottom of the page.

You can see a preview image, a comparison between the efficiency before and after this process and you can also download the output file.

How to Submit a Conversion Task

Note that you will sometime need to edit the file name, if it contains characters with accents or if they are non-latin fonts.

In "Launch Task" page, choose "Data Conversion" at the drop-down list.


Select your source and destination formats on the newly opened lists on the right. Near "From" select your original file format. "To" is your target format.
It is also important that you specify whether your input file is a style (pattern) file, or a Marker table file.

In the fields below,

your input file,

Select 

and any further information that is required as input for your request (e.g. scaling factors, working units etc.)

Click 

on the "Convert" button,

and you will be redirected to the "Inbox" page where you can find your task's status and outputs. (as described in above chapter)
