Up\ Down is the option usually used Left\ Right is more rare, and it is usually used when the fabric has a bordura, and the piece's hem (i.e pants) need to always be placed on the selvage of the fabric. When enabling the 'Pair' field this field is changed automatically to Up\ Down. If needed it can be changed to Left\ Right When spreading a piece, the opposite piece attributes are visible.

17. Tilt = 0

Flip Allowance

Set the flipping allowance on the marker. Up/ down will flip on the X axis. Right/ Left will flip on the Y axis.

Important Note:
In PDS 9 and earlier versions there was a Flip Allowance Attribute field, in the new versions of PDS this function was removed.
This can cause a problem when updating DSN file on Marker 10.
Saving a DSN file on PDS 10 will remove the flip allowance attribute - The Flip Allowance in Marker will be set to 'None'.
If you have a Marker file which contains DSN file with Flip Allowance Attribute and you want to update the DSN file without losing the Flip Allowance definition,
Please follow the next steps:

  1. Open the DSN file in PDS
  2. Edit the file and save it in PDS format
  3. Return to Marker
  4. Open order window and select 'Update the Selected Style'
  5. A 'Locate File' window will open - Browse and select the new file you saved in the PDS format

This way the Marker file will be edited and will not lose the Flip Allowance attribute defined on earlier version.
