Marker:Save As

Use this command in order to save the Marker displayed on screen with a different name or as a different type of file under a specified drive and directory.

Location

• Menu: File> Save As

Operation

1. Invoke the 'Save As'.
2. Select directory to save in
3. Select the type of file
4. Set the new file name.

Marker Files

Save your file in OptiTex version 10 native format, i.e *.mrk

Marker XML Files

Save your file in OptiTex version 10 XML format, i.e *.mrkml

• Saving as *.mrkml will allow easier access for third party software engineers trying to access OptiTex PDS files since it is written in an XML format.
• Mrkml files can be loaded into OptiTex products as if they were the native format of the product.

Marker 9 Files

Save your file in OptiTex version 9 native format, i.e *.dsp

• Saving as *.dsp will allow you to open the file in OptiTex version 9.

PDS 8 Files

Save your file in OptiTex version 8 native format, i.e *.dsp

• Saving as *.dsp will allow you to open the file in OptiTex version 8.
