Marker:Open Style File (Order)

Open Design File command is used to add designs to the current Marker table. It can also be used to edit or merge several designs into an existing Marker File (MRK). It loads a PDS files pieces that match the current material type to make a marker, and allows you to define the Quantities per size, Attributes for material type, Rotate directions and more.
From the Open Design File dialog box you can order any type of files that were saved in PDS such as PDS, DSN, or CUS (modulate files). In addition to that you can import styles from the Smart Data Manger or to paste PDS and Modulate pieces that were copy to the Windows clipboard by using the copy or the cut command.

Operation

Starting A New Marker

  1. Invoke the Select Style Files by clicking on the Open Style File command or tool
  2. Click on the "..." button to browse for the Design file to load.
  3. The Order For Marker Making will automatically opened for you to edit.
  4. Back to the Select Style Files box you can redo steps 2 and 3 to load more files to that marker.
  5. Click OK to start nesting your marker.

Editing An Existing Marker Order

  1. Have the Marker file opened.
  2. Invoke the Select Style Files by clicking on the Open Style File command or tool.
  3. Select the file name from the style list.
  4. Click on the ">>" button to display a list of commands that can be apply on the selected file.
  5. Click OK to exit the box and to return to the marker file.

Contour Selection

Determine the contour type that will be load into the marker. Choose between Cut Contour, Sew Contour or both. Both is the default option. To make the marker saved your last selection - there is a change that needs to be done manually in your Optikad10.ini file.

Edit Selected Style

The command will open the Order For Marker Making to the select style from the list.

Delete Selected Style

Use it to remove a style file from the marker. Click on the command line will remove the select file from the list.

1.The marker contains 2 different style files: Dress.dsn and dress Lycra.dsn
2.Removing the dress Lycra style by highlight the file name from the list and clicking Delete Selected Style

3.The file was removed from the list.
4.The style was also removed from the marker leaving the nested pieces that was not deleted in place


Update Selected Style

Will update any changes that was made to the selected file in PDS since it was add to the marker. Click on the button to bring the up-to-date pieces shape and information. Also this command will remove pieces that were deleted from the PDS file and will add pieces that were added to the file since it was loaded to the marker. Note that if a piece name was changed OptiTex will recognizes it as a new piece .In order to have the Update command to work - all pieces should maintain there original name. In case that OptiTex can not locate the PDS file or it was removed a window will appear letting you to locate the file your self.

Update Selected Style (Geometry Only)

Will update only geometric changes that was made to the selected file in PDS since it was add to the marker.other pieces information, as piece quantity,on marker allowance etc wont be change. Note that if a piece name was changed OptiTex will recognizes it as a new piece .In order to have the Update command to work - all pieces should maintain there original name. In case that OptiTex can not locate the PDS file or it was removed a window will appear letting you to locate the file your self.

Import Style From SDM

SDM is a database of Parametric Patterns that maintains by OptiTex Modulate. This command displays the Modulate Smart Data Manger window, from which you can select one or more patterns that have been assigned specific dimension values.

Advanced INI Setting

  • Remember last state of the Contour Selection
    Determine weather the Open Style File dialog box will remember the contour selection state, or will be reseted every time. By default, the selection always goes to BOTH contour . Change this setting through optitex10.ini
