The main function of the find tab is to look for Marker files(.MRK) You to input further search filters, such as Style name, Piece name, Piece Code, Piece Material, Piece Description, etc.

The Update Tab allows you to update all found markers with a piece that has been changed. After you select a Style file, click on a piece to be updated in all markers. You should mark the target files in the ‘File list’. Then, you can Update, Replace or Add a piece to the marked MRK file/s which appear in the File List at the bottom of the dialog box.

Operation

  1. Click on the Find and Updates.
  2. Type in any part of the Marker name or *.MRK for all Markers (default)
  3. To further narrow your search, select any Filter topic, such as a Material or Piece Code.
  4. Click on the ‘Find Now’.

Dialog Explanation

Mark Files

Type a file name with the extension of MRK to search for marker files.

Look in

This field enables you to select the folder to search

Piece Name

Type a Piece Nameif you wish to search for files that contain specific piece.

Piece Code

Use this option as a filter .Type a piece code if you wish to search for files that contain specific piece code.

Piece description

Type a piece description name if you wish to search for files with a specific piece description.

Material

Use this option as a filter. Type a material if you wish to search for files that contain specific material.

Style Name

Use this option as a Filter. All styles with the Internal Style Name filled will be found

Style File

Select a specific style file to search

Update

After you have marked a piece in the source file, by using the ‘Select’ Tab. You should mark the target files in the ‘File list’. Then, you can Update Replace or Add a piece to the marked DSN or DSP file/s which appears in the File List at the bottom of the dialog box. Remember that the ‘Update’ Tab depends on which host application you launched Update from.

Operation

  1. To Update all/selected Markers with a changed Piece, Select on the Update tab
  2. Choose the Style File
  3. Select any or all pieces to be updated in the Markers
  4. Choose from the list of markers using the SHIFT or CTRL Key which markers to Update
  5. Click Update

Dialog Explanation

Source Piece / Style File

Select a file name with the extension of PDS to be updated in the Markers. Select the piece to be added or replaced.

Update Mode for Seamed Pieces

Select which lines should be included with the piece.
