Knowledge:Export To MDL With Capital Letters

Description

Lectra MDL users, who work on Linux based stations require the file extension to be saved with capital letters, i.e *.MDL instead of *.mdl

Note that multiple Aladdin network keys cannot be used on a same computer, even if they are for different applications or modules. 
They must be attached to different computers with separate License Managers running.

Symptom

PDS Export output *.mdl instead of *.MDL

Solution

A change need to be done in ExportConverter.ini file.
For General instructions on accessing the ini file click

1. Note that the INI file is divided to sections. the section name is written in square brackets. E.i. [OptiTex Mark]. Look for the [PDS_EXPORT] section. If not there already copy and paste it there.
2. Copy the line MdlFileExtension=MDL and paste it under the [PDS_EXPORT] section.
3. Go to File > Save and save the file
4. Open PDS Exporter and export your files to MDL.
