This collar requires two special seam corners.

Requirement

1. Original collar with 'regular' seam allowance

2. The points which require special seam corners are marked with numbers; Point 1 and Point 2

3. This is how the seam allowance in Point 1 should fold
4. This is how the seam allowance in Point 2 should fold

Operation

  1. Double-click point 1. The Point Attributes window will open.
  2. Click the Seam button in the Point Attributes window to view the Seam options.
  3. Select the Seam Corner type shown in image # 5. This Corner means that the seam allowance will fold as shown above in image number 3.
  4. Click the Apply button to apply the change.

  5. Select Point 2.
  6. Select the Seam Corner type shown in image # 6. This corner type creates seam allowance of 90° to the previous and next segment.

  7. Close the Point Attributes window.
  8. Double-Click the Collar to open the Piece Information window.
  9. Check the Disable Auto Reseam option. This will disable the Auto Reseam only for this piece. Close this window.

  10. Click F5 key on the keyboard to switch to Cut Line.

  11. Add a point to the segment between the two seam points as shown in image number 9.

  12. Use the Move Point Tool to move the point created in the previous step. The point should be positioned on the corner.

  13. Click F5 key on the keyboard to switch to Sew Line.

  14. Double-click point 2. The Point Attributes window will open.
  15. Click the Seam button in the Point Attributes window to view the Seam options.
  16. Select Define By Tool button.
  17. Define the Custom Seam corner. First click on the corner point and then on the Seam points (order of selection is shown in image number 12). The objective of defining Custom Angle for this corner is to keep this special corner.

  18. Close the Point Attributes window.
  19. Double-Click the Collar to open the Piece Information window.
  20. Uncheck the Disable Auto Reseam option. This will enable the Auto Reseam again for this piece. The Auto Reseam can be enabled only after defining the Custom Angle (step number 17).
