Ignore CR/LF

This option should be checked in all times unless importing files that are mainly CNC files which come in one long line, or use a CR./LF after each point. When enabled, the Carriage Return/Line Feed in the import file is ignored.

Ignore The Bounding Frame

The rectangular frame will be ignored in the importing process.

1.
2. The rectangle contour was ignored, and only the circle will be imported (and converted from an internal to a contour)

Separate The DXF Layers

This option is used only for DXF and AAMA files Every closed internal on a different layer will be created as a separated piece. importing closed internal contour (i.e. circle)when Separate Layers options is disabled, the internal becomes a simple internal element. If the circle is to be recognized as a hole, it must be on the same layer as the outer perimeter line. Or, the DXF file can be imported with the Separate Layers option in the OFF position.

3.
4. Disabled -the circle remains as an internal
5. Enabled – the circle is converted to a separate piece

Separate The DXF Blocks

There are some CAD systems (like AutoCAD) that treat a group of entities (i.e. lines) as a block (like piece). In this case, the syntax of the “.DXF” file will be different. OptiTex can read this specific file structure if this option is checked.

Choose Starting Points Of Pieces

Have this options check in order to have the point with the sharpest angle as the piece strting point.

Box Without Margins

Import file in box mode without the box margins.

Allow Empty Rules For External/ Internal Contour Points

When importing an AAMA file that includes grading points with grading value that is not shown in the grading table OptiTex will ignore those points unless this options is checked.

Ignore The Pieces Entities

Ignore the 'Insert' command under the 'Entities' section, which places several entities of a single piece.

6. One rectangle is exported. Under the 'Entities' section an 'Insert' command creates another piece in a different location
7. In the import, the rectangle is imported twice

Set The Piece's Starting Point

The piece's starting point should be the same for all sizes. In case it was not exported this way the system will find a different starting point, based on its location and angle. When this box selected the starting point will be the sharpest angle at the imported piece

Add Margin The To 'Box' Import

Add a margin between the imported piece and the bounding box

8.
9.
10.

Convert All Points Without Grading Rules To Grade Points

Points that have no grading rule will be converted to a grading point (with 0,0 grading value).

11. Disabled - The grading value of that non-grading point is calculated proportionally to the next and previous grading points
12. Enabled - The grading value of that grading point is 0,0

Ignore Points Without A Radius Value

Ignore points that their radius value is missing. A rectangle was exported as AAMA, thus the point in the file appears is without a radius value.

13. A point without radius in AAMA format
14.

15. A point with radius
16.

Convert The Longest Internal Line To A Baseline

The longest internal line will be converted to a baseline.

17.
18.

Check On Contour V-Notches In AAMA Files

Enabling this will convert v notches shapes on the contour into V notches.

Relate All External Text To A Single Piece

If there are text objects placed outside of pieces, they will be assigned to a single piece.

19.
20.

Stripe Adjust Initial Number

In case that points or notches in the imported file are related to stripes and contains information on their locations on a grid, the number that will be entered in this field will be added to that element as a strip adjust number. Use any number between 1 to 9

ASCII Symbols For Drill Holes

Define which ASCII symbols should be converted to a drill button. A symbol text is added to the location of the drill hole in HPGL format. Enter the text symbol and all the points that has an attribute as this ASCII sign will be import with drill command.

Recognize The Piece's Descriptions From Its Internal Text

The internal text will be converted to be the name, code and description of a piece.

21. Original - a piece with internal text has been exported
22. Enabled ( Name, Code and Description)
23. Disabled

Recognize The Piece Sizes From Its Internal Text

The internal texts will be converted to be the sizes name of the piece. The distinction between code, piece name and Description is done by the following criteria in relation to the String length of the text imported:

  • Code - Smaller or equal to 14 characters (only if a piece name was found).
  • Piece Name - Smaller or equal to 30 characters.
  • Description - Longer than 30 characters and shorter than 256.
24. Disabled - The system doesn't change the pieces
25. Enabled - The system converts the three 'different' pieces into a one piece with grading

Convert Only Numerical Text

Only internal text that is a number will be converted to a size name.

26. Disabled
27.

28. Enabled
29. Size 'ABC' appears as a different piece

Maximum Number Of Characters Per Size

Set the maximum number of characters for every size. All internal text with more characters will not be converted to size names.

30. Maximum number of characters per size = 6
31.

32. Maximum number of characters per size = 3
33. Size 'ABC' appears as a different piece

Set A Piece Name By Its Block Number

A piece will get its name according to the block number

34. Gerber cutter format - 'N1*' will result with a piece named '1'
35. Disabled – The piece name is not defined
36. Enabled - Piece name is '1'
