How to find your model number

  • Lectra has different OEM Calcomp digitizers, to find your model number look on the back of the digitizer for the silver plate, the number is compose of 5 digits, first one is the Drawboard model, last 4 are the size. Ex :34480, is Calcomp Drawboard 3 44X80 inch.

  • Select Calcomp 34480 (Lectra) driver in the digitizer setup dialog box and then use the default setting for this driver.
  1. Bits per second: 9600
  2. Data bits: 7
  3. Parity: None
  4. Stop bits: 2
  5. Flow control: None

Troubleshooting

Crazy lines are created when digitizing

  • Solution : Disconnect the digitizer from the power for 3-5 minute then reconnect and try again.

No response from digitizer

  • Solution 1 : check that the serial cable is plugged on both computer and digitizer, and the digitizer is turnned on.
  • Solution 2 : Check that the COM port is defined in the windows hardware device.
  • Solution 3 : If the digitizer mouse is wireless, check the batteries.
  • Solution 4 : Make sure no external driver is installed.

digitizing result isn't scaled correctly (1.6 percent different )

Solution

Add to Optitex10.ini a new parameter this Parameter will define the working unit for the digitizer

Section : [OptiTex PDS]
Keyword : LectraDigiEngUnits
Value : 1 or 0  (default = 0 = Use metric )
