Configuration for GTCO Calcomp DrawingBoard III and II.

Calcomp Digitizer Calcomp digitizer works well with OptiTex ver. 6.1 and above.

Communication

Communication settings are: 9600, E, 7, 2, Flow control - none.

You should select Calcomp digitizer (GTCO DIGI-PAD format) in digitizer Setup dialog box. If you have selected GTCO DIGI-PAD format instead of the said format the digitizer still works but you have to use button 1 instead of button 2, button 2 instead of button 3 etc. So be careful.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MODEL WILL ONLY WORK WITH A CORDED PUCK DUE TO A DIFFERENCE IN COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL

Switches

The digitizer includes 3 banks of switches, every bank consists of 18 switches. Here is the switches setup (communication settings are 9600, Even, 7, 2, flow control – None):

B 0 0 1 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1
C 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
1– ON position, 0 – OFF position.

You can change the switch position by clicking cursor on it (see manual for details). The switches setup is the same for all sizes.

Configuration for GTCO Calcomp DrawingBoards IV, V and VI are almost the same, just bank C switch number 9 is activated:

GTCO Calcomp DrawingBoards IV, V and VI will not work anless switch 9 is activated!!
