Glossary:Snap

Snap is the automatic action that the system performs when the cursor is near an object. The object is then highlighted and all tools and command will apply to it. Snap definition can be set through the preferences. If there are several objects close to each other, use the View & Selection in order to 'lock' objects from being selected.
1. No snap, thus the contour point is not highlighted
2. Few pixels closer (according to the Snap Distance In Pixels) the contour point is highlighted
