Location

Learn how to find the INI file automatically

Windows XP On Public Installations:

C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\OptiTex\
or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OptiTex\

On Private Installations:

C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\OptiTex\

Windows Vista

C:\ProgramData\

In order to see those folders you need to turn visible hidden folder under Windows Explorer >> Folder Options >> View

Update Time

When Closing PDS or Marker Optitex10.ini will be updated with the last user setting.

Changing Values

Value in Optitex10.ini can be automatically changed using the 'Set Ini' batch command in the Batch Creator or using a text editor.

Information Not Included

  • Setting for 3D, Version 10 interface and Modulate are not included in this file but are located in the registry (see Registry Setting for more information).
  • All the special archive files (*.tus, *.ser, *. grd, *.cbi) are placed in ..All Users\Application Data\OptiTex folder.
  • OCC.ini, JM.ini,Qman.ini and Outman.ini are in installation directory.

Version 9

In version 9 the INI file is named optikad.ini and located under c:\windows (or c:\winnt on windows 2000 OS).
