Entry Level 1 and 2

General

Entry Levels 1 and 2 contain: Digitize, Grade, Reduced PDS (CAD) to enable user to do corrections to the digitized piece, in case a mistake was made, Marker making, it is a complete package. Basic features that are not included are drivers to Cutters and special plotters, The width of the plot with Entry Level 1 is limited to 110cm.

Entry Level 2 is the same but has drivers to wider plotters, NO cutters. Important tools that you have are Interactive: Draft, Cut Piece, Join Pieces, Dimensions, Flip, Rotate, Round Corners, Add Point, Change point attribute, Add Notch, Add Dart Close Dart, Add Button, Add and Edit Text, Zoom and some other less important issues. These are the main tools that are needed for production.

Another limitation that Entry Level 1 & 2 have is the ability to read other files. This Entry Level software can read the files of full OptiTex software but the full OptiTex software cannot read the files produced from Entry Level 1. Also EL 1 or 2 can read only their own files of the same level. The reason is that a company that has the Entry Level program is usually a sub-contractor to a big company so, we enable them to read files that come from the big company but a small company is not likely to send their own files to the big one. Generally, small companies have small plotters/cutters and EL1/EL2 and big companies have big plotters or cutters and full systems.
