Toolbars Tab

Frame

From the Toolbars tab you can uncheck any of the toolbars that you do not wish to show or that you do not use to give you more space.
If at anytime you find that you want to return to the default settings you can click the Reset button to clear any customizations to your toolbars.

Toolbars List

Check the boxes near the desire toolbars to be displayed. Uncheck the box next to the toolbar next to those that you do not wish to show.

New Toolbar

OptiTex Marker gives you the option to create new toolbars and to customize them to yours needs. Clicking on this button will start the process of creating new toolbar

Reset

Click on this button to reset the highlight toolbar name. The toolbar will back to the original form.

Commands Tab


From the Commands tab you can select any command and add it to any toolbar. The list on the left the category list, the categories is equaled to the manus. Clicking on the category name will open list of commands that part of that category in the list at right.

Keyboard Tab


The Keyboard tab used to define shortcut keys for the menu commands. You can quickly accomplish tasks you perform frequently by using shortcut keys — one or more keys you press on the keyboard to execute command. Optitex mark already has many shortcut keys assigned to allow you better and easier control on the program's command. You can define new short keys or change the excising key to fit your needs.

Category

The commands are organized in categories. The categories are the same as the manus and toolbars. Selecting a category will change the available commands to select in the commands list.

Commands

In this list you will find the available commands depends on the category that was chosen from category list above. Click on the commands to view the available short key , to edit it , to create a new one or to reset to the default command.

Key Assignments

Will display the short cut that assigned to the selected command. The field will appears empty if there is no keys active to that command.

Assign

Will assign the new keys that was entered in the "press new short key" to the selected command.

Remove

Will remove the keys that assigned to the selected command.

Reset All

The Reset ALL command restores the built-in short keys to the original stage.

Options


Large Icons

Select to enlarge the display of toolbars. Keep in mind that the more space the toolbars take, the less space there is in the working area.

Show Screentips On Toolbars

Selecting Show Screen Tips on toolbars will show a descriptive text when you mouse over the icon. This is helpful if you have small icons with no text as hovering over any icon will show what it does.

Show Shortcuts Keys On Screentips

You can also have the keyboard short cuts display in the tool tip when you hover. This is very useful to get you familiar with all of the keyboard shortcuts for functions.


Menu Animations

Changes the way menus come into view when you click a command. For example, Slide Menu Animation causes the menus to appear with a sliding motion.

Operation

Create A Custom Toolbar

  1. Click on the Toolbars tab
  2. Click New.

  1. In the Toolbar name box, type the name you want. Click OK.
  2. Add a button to the toolbar - Click a category in the Categories box, Drag the command you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar.
  3. Add a built-in menu to the toolbar. Drag the menu you want from the Commands box to the displayed toolbar.
  4. When you have added all the buttons and menus you want, click Close.

Adding Tool Or Command To An Excising Toolbar

  1. Click on the commands tab to view the available tools and commands.
  2. Click a category in the Categories box
  3. Click to select the desired command, hold down the mouse key and drag it to the toolbar for your choice.
  4. The new command will be part of the toolbar from now on. In case that the command does not have an icon tool it will be shown as text button in the toolbar.

Assign Shortcut Key

  1. Click on the Keyboard tab
  2. In the Categories box, click the category that contains the command.
  3. In the Commands box, click the name of the command or other item. Any shortcut keys that are currently assigned appear in the Current keys box.
  4. Click the Press new shortcut key box and press the shortcut key combination you want to assign. For example, press Ctrl plus the desired key.
  5. Click the Assign key. If this combination does not already assigned to other commands, will appear on the key assignments box. The software will prompt you if you choose already assigned to a command in Marker. Answering yes will reassign the hot keys to your choice. Reassigning a key combination means that you can no longer use the combination for its original purpose. You can always go back to the original settings by clicking on the Reset All

Create A Custom Menu

  1. Click on the commands tab
  2. In the category list scroll down to the New Menu
  3. Drag the menu from the Commands list to the Manu Bar
  4. To add commands to the Menu - Click a category in the Categories box, Drag the command you want from the Commands box into the new menu.
