Operation

There are different ways to add a stitch:

1) Segment to Segment:

  • Click on a line to be stitched. This will give a color highlight to the selected segment.
  • Notice that the stitch cursor turns into a “double” sewing machine indicating that the next segment is ready to connect to this one.

2) Point to Point:

  • Click on a grading point then on the next point in a clockwise manner. This defines the first “Half” of a stitch. This will give a color highlight to the selected segment.
  • Notice that the stitch cursor turns into a “double” sewing machine indicating that the next segment is ready to connect to this one.
  • Do not forget that grading points have to be viewed in order to select them.
  • To define a stitch in a counter clockwise manner press the SHIFT key while selecting the second point.

3) Selection Rectangle:

  • Add a stitch by dragging a rectangle around the end points of the designated segments.
  • This feature is useful for small segments, which are hard to access without zooming in.

4) Stand Alone Stitch:

  • First define the stitch and then right click on an empty space of the working area.
  • This will eliminate the need to define the second half of the stitch - making this stitch a stand alone stitch.

5) Recalling Segment Length:

  • Click on a segment.
  • Take the “double” sewing machine and select the point of the desired segment.
  • Click on the contour of the segment (anywhere near the desired point).
  • The stitching will automatically only stitch the same length as the first segment.

The stitching stopped at the length of the back armhole (And because the selection of the contour was counter clockwise the Shift key was pressed).

6) Add another segment to a stand alone stitch:

  • If the first half of a stitch is not highlighted anymore, it can be reactivated by mouse right clicking on it.
  • This action will prompt the stitch cursor to turn into a “double” sewing machine indicating that the next segment is ready to connect to the stand alone one.

7) Single stitch to multiple Segments:

  • Click on the first segment to be stitched. This will give a color highlight to the selected segment.
  • Notice that the stitch cursor turns into a “double” sewing machine indicating that the next segment is ready to connect to this one.
    • Click on the second segment to be stitched. This will give a color highlight to the selected segment.
  • Press SHIFT key and Click on the third segment to be stitched. (So on for other segments)
  • Then right click on an empty space of the working area to confirm the end of stitch operation.
  • To further understand, notice the difference in highlighted segments when using Show Stitch Mode tool. See below images.
Multiple Stitches to the same segment can be avoided, if needed.
