3D:Simulate Draping
From OptiTexHelpEn
- OptiTex cloth simulation engine (solver) is designed to calculate various cloth attributes and external forces influencing the cloth's behavior in order to accurately imitate the different types of textiles used in various industries such as apparel, automotive, upholstery, toys etc.
- To change simulation settings such as gravity, types of solvers and time steps see Simulation Properties dialog.

Operation
- Once the 3D cloth pieces are well positioned they are ready to be simulated to create the 3D Product.
- Click the “Simulate Draping” button. Notice that the cloth pieces do not have to be placed first.
- Click on Simulate Draping button again to stop the draping at any time.
- To enhance the simulation results in case it is needed click the “Simulate Draping” button again. Some styles, usually higher resolution, may need an additional cycle of draping.
Note: Simulation time varies, depending on the size of the clothing items, the resolution assigned to the cloth pieces and to simulation Properties. On the bottom of the screen there's a progress bar indicating the simulation's progress.
