- Use the Load Model command to load a 3D model to the 3D Model window.
- The file can be in several file formats and you can import files from other 3D systems.

Operation
- Click on the Load Model icon on the 3D toolbar. The Open dialog box is displayed.
- Select the desired file format from the Files of Type field. A list containing the files of the selected type appear on the File List.
- In case Thumbnails option is checked on the View Menu of the Open dialog then preview images of the models are displayed on the File List.
- Select the desired file from the File List dialog box.
- Click on the 'Open' button.

- Model Files (*.mod)
- Cloth Files (*.clt)
- 3D Studio Max Files (*.3ds)
- Maya Files (*.ma,*.mb)
Notes:
*To be able to save as mb file Maya need to be installed on your PC.
*Maya files cannot be imported on computers where Python 2.5 is installed.
*Even if the file is technically OK in Maya 2011 64bit, we can only support Maya 2010 32bit (V11).
